How Does Premium Secure Parking at Wellington Airport Work?

Upon Arrival

If you pre-booked your spot online, you can simply drive up to the entry gate at the Premium Secure Car Park and the licence plate recognition will automatically issue you a ticket and open the entry gate for you.

Ensure you keep the ticket in case you need it to exit the car park.

If you didn't pre-book your spot, drive up to the car park on your day of departure and take a ticket at the entry gate. You can pay for your parking duration upon exit.

Upon Return

If you pre-booked your parking spot, you can simply drive up to the exit barrier, and if there are no outstanding or overstay charges, it will automatically lift for your exit.

If you did incur over-stay charges, or the barrier does not lift, you will need to insert your ticket received upon entry to exit.

If you didn't pre-book your spot, you can pay by credit card or payWave at the barrier arm as you leave the car park or with cash or EFTPOS at pay stations.

Electronic payments can also be made at the Parking Services office.

How do I get to the Premium Secure Car Park?

To get to Premium Secure Parking Wellington Airport from Wellington CBD, follow these directions:

Start by heading southeast towards the waterfront and follow signs for State Highway 1.
Continue on SH1, and as you approach the Mount Victoria area, look for the entrance to the Mount Victoria Tunnel.
Once you exit the tunnel, stay on SH1, following signs for the airport.
Keep right and follow the signs directing you to Wellington Airport.
As you approach the airport, you'll come to a roundabout. Take the exit that leads towards the airport terminal.
After the roundabout, stay in the right-hand lane and continue straight to the main entry barriers on the ground level.
Use the far right, blue entry gate to access the Premium entry lane on the right. This lane will take you directly to the Premium Secure car park on the ground floor.
