How Does Park and Ride Parking Work?
Upon Arrival
Upon arrival at the Park and Ride Car Park, the licence plate reader will detect your licence plate number, automatically raising the barrier arm for entry and exit from the car park - no ticket is required.
If the barrier arm doesn’t open, simply tap or insert the credit or debit card you used for your booking. Should this not resolve the issue, press the HELP button for assistance.
If you didn't pre-book your spot, you can tap or insert your credit card at the entry gate. After parking your vehicle, head to the bus stop, located within the car park.
Upon Return
After collecting your luggage, head outside the terminal to Door 1. This is the pickup point for the shuttle back to the car park.
Once you’ve collected your vehicle, proceed to the exit barrier. If you booked your parking in advance and stayed within your reserved time, the barrier will open automatically.
If you’ve overstayed, you can pay with a credit card at the gate.
If you need to pay at a payment machine before returning to your car, you can find them at the locations below. All payment machines take credit cards, EFTPOS and PayWave.
- In front of the Express Park building
- At the Short Stay car park exit
- At the Long Stay car park entry
- At the Orchard Road car park exit
- At the Park and Ride exit
- Outside Door 7
- Outside Door 5 (in the covered walkway)
Shuttle Schedule
Leaving the Car Park: Shuttles to the terminal leave every hour and run at 10-minute intervals throughout the day. Be aware that there is no shuttle service from Park and Ride during the following times: 12:00 AM, 2:10 AM, 2:20 AM, 2:30 AM, 4:40 AM, 9:30 AM, 2:10 PM, and 7:00 PM.
Leaving the Terminal: Shuttles to Park and Ride depart at 5 minutes past the hour and then every 10 minutes. Be aware that there is no shuttle service from the terminal at the following times:12:05 AM, 2:05 AM, 2:15 AM, 2:25 AM, 4:35 AM, 9:25 AM, 2:05 PM, and 6:55 PM.

- There are specific times when the shuttle is not in operation from the Park and Ride Car Park: 12:00 AM | 2:10 AM | 2:20 AM | 2:30 AM | 4:40 AM | 9:30 AM | 2:10 PM | and 7:00 PM.
- The shuttle from the terminal has limited departures at 12:05 AM | 2:05 AM | 2:15 AM | 2:25 AM | 4:35 AM | 9:25 AM | 2:05 PM | and 6:55 PM.
The airport recommends that all travellers using this car park allow approximately 30 minutes for the shuttle ride to and from the terminal.
